All the side streets in Turkey were filled with blackberry bushes growing wild, and all down the Aegean Coast was a herb I didn’t expect to find in Turkey—rosemary. The rosemary and the blackberry together with the mastic is a great combination in this dish. If it’s your first time using mastic, go easy as it can be overpowering and is an acquired taste.
Preparation time: 1 hour plus 3–4 hours chilling plus 1 day marinating
